
The Stables at Blalock Lakes will be managed by Andi Burroughs and her husband, Steve. Andi is an accomplished horsewoman who learned to ride at age 5 while living in London. Upon her return to the states when she was 12, she showed throughout high school and was one of the top ten Equitation riders on the East coast. Her ranking qualified her for the National Horse Show in New York. Andi holds a degree in Equestrian Studies. "Riding and equestrian events are a new and growing area", Andi said. "This is a big opportunity to build a state-of-the art center from the ground up with a premier company like Cousins."

Marty Fischer, a nationally acclaimed outdoorsman and gun club designer, is the creator of the sporting clays course at Blalock Lakes. He has designed more than 100 sporting clays facilities throughout North America, and has been referred to as "perhaps the most sought after gun club designer in America" by the Knoxville News-Sentinel. An accomplished author, he is the host of the highly acclaimed "Shotgun Journal" on The Outdoor Channel. He is a professional wingshooter and National Sporting Clays Association Level III shooting instructor.

At 17, Rans Thomas was already working on a hunting plantation, beginning career that spans 17 years. Today Rans is an accomplished and published wildlife biologist and consultant working with over 200,000 acres of private hunting lands in 10 different states.
Rans is also the Consulting Manager for Tecomate Wildlife Systems where he overseas a nationwide network of wildlife biologists. Rans and Jeff Foxworthy are featured hunters on a new wildlife show, "The Bucks of Tecomate", on the Versus Network. "It's rare to see a property with such raw potential for world-class wing shooting and outdoor recreation. The Hunt Club will be a true treasure for the outdoor enthusiast", said Thomas.

Greg Grimes founded Aquatic Environmental Services, Inc. in 1996 while he was obtaining his Masters Degree in Fisheries from the University of Georgia. Greg is an accomplished fisheries manager, helping clients throughout the Southeast to achieve lakes that not only look beautiful, but support thriving fish populations as well. Greg manages over 80 lakes in the metro Atlanta region alone.
Blalock Lakes has already begun the facelift of the fishery sparing no expense. Improvements include restructuring of the lake bottom for maximum fish habitats, starting a supplemental feeding program, stocking of forage fish and total revamp of kids/fly-fishing lake. With its overall plan for multiple bodies of water and desire for proper fishery management Blalock Lakes should soon be the finest fishing destination of its kind in the southeast.
